SuperMoon

The supermoon is a phenomenon when the moon which follows an elliptical orbit around the earth,reach a point closer than usual.

A full moon occures each month when the Sun,Earth and Moon line up,with the Moon on the side of the Earth opposite to the Sun.

The term “Supermoon” is used to describe a full moon as it perigee-the point in the Moon’s  orbit when it is closest to Earth,causing it to appear up to 14%bigger and 30% brighter in the sky.

December’s full moon is also known in the Northern hemisphere as the full cold moon and the long Night’s moon.

the most recent supermoon occurrence was on December 14,2016.The pervious one was ,on November 14,2016 and was the closest Supermoon since January 26,1948, and will not be surpassed untill November 25,2034.

The closest Supermoon of the century will occur December 6,2052.The next Supermoon will be on May 25,2017.
